Route Overview
The Thames becomes quieter after Oxford, passing Port Meadow, Godstow and Eynsham before Newbridge. This is a good point to start checking buses or booking a taxi back to Oxford.
Alternatively, stay at Rose Revived in Newbridge, camp at Newbridge Farm or keep walking onto The Trout at Tadpole Bridge.
Bus / Taxi Warning
This section cannot be completed by train alone. Oxford is the railhead, but Newbridge has no station, so plan a bus connection or pre-booked taxi before setting out.
Train, Bus and Taxi Notes
Oxford is the practical railhead at both ends. For the Newbridge end, use a taxi back to Oxford or Hanborough, or use local bus links such as X15 toward Abingdon and onward Oxford services where timings work.
